Questions people ask
How do I tell which carrier a tracking number belongs to?
By its shape. Two letters, nine digits and a country code is the postal format (EB…CN is China Post EMS, GV…GB is Royal Mail). 7321315 and 16 digits is Canada Post. 22 digits starting with 92 is USPS. 1Z is UPS. Letters like YFD or GTI are a China forwarder's line-haul number, not the carrier that delivers.
Why does my tracking number show nothing?
Because the number was created before the parcel left China. Local carriers like Canada Post, USPS and Royal Mail only scan once the parcel lands in your country, usually 4 to 10 days after your agent ships. The RepTools tracker fills that gap with the agent's own China-side scans.
My agent gave me a second tracking number. Which one do I use?
Both work in the RepTools tracker. The first is usually the China forwarder's line-haul number; the second is the local carrier that delivers. Once the second exists, it is the one your carrier's own site knows.
Is a tracking number ever shown in a link on RepTools?
No. Numbers are handed to the tracker inside the browser and never appear in a page address, a link or a search result.
Counts are tracking numbers looked up on rep.tools in the last 45 days, grouped by format, updated 2026-09-05. Carrier attribution comes from the format itself plus the carrier that scanned the parcel. Delivery times are measured from the first carrier scan to the delivery scan.
